Day 1 at the Grand Canyon consisted of the drive (~6 hours) from the Flying J where we stayed the night before to the Grand Canyon and some hiking.  We stayed at the Trailer Village at the Grand Canyon.  Nothing great but they had full hook-ups.  The first hike of the day was the center of the Rim Trail.  The views of the Canyon are amazing but everything starts to look the same.  Along the hike we were able to watch some condors flying around by one of the lodges.  That was neat to see.  The day was finished off watching the sun set at Hopi Point.  We were able to get a few nice pictures of this.  Dinner the first night was at the cafeteria (I can't remember the name).  Food was so so but we were hungry.
